Abstract

HPV remains a major cause of cancer in the U.S., yet young adults—especially college students—often face limited vaccine access. The Knight Cancer Institute’s Mobile Outreach program addressed this gap by bringing vaccines to underserved campuses in Oregon. Interviews and surveys revealed key barriers like cost, lack of on-site availability, and billing limitations, particularly at smaller and rural schools. Expanding OHP enrollment, improving outreach logistics, and using peer-led education were recommended to boost vaccine uptake and reduce disparities.
