Abstract

This project examines the management and complications of lower extremity Type IIIA open fractures at a Level 1 trauma center. Through a retrospective chart review, variables such as time to antibiotics, surgical timing, injury mechanism, and patient demographics were analyzed to explore potential associations with post-injury complications. This work aims to contribute to ongoing efforts to optimize orthopedic trauma care.
