Abstract

This pilot split-mouth study evaluated whether rectangular beveled versus non-beveled composite attachments improve the predictability of rotational tooth movement with clear aligners. Maxillary anterior teeth were scanned before and after a controlled observation period, and rotation was quantified using a standardized digital coordinate system. Beveled attachments showed a trend toward greater rotational expression and efficiency, but the small sample size prevented formal statistical testing. The study established a reproducible measurement protocol and generated power estimates to guide a future, adequately powered randomized trial.
