Digital photograph of the first high tension switch tube for roentgenography, which was developed at University of Oregon Medical School circa 1956. An offprint of Dr. Charles Dotters article in the January 1956 issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology, Radium Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine is shown behind the apparatus, while a ruler is shown in the foreground for size comparison.

The first high tension switch tube for roentgenography, which was developed at University of Oregon Medical School circa 1956. It was donated by Charles T. Dotter, M.D., in November 1975, along with an offprint of his article in the January 1956 issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology, Radium Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine. A portion of the apparatus was manufactured by Machlett, and bears their label. The item is in good condition.
