Parts of Dr. J.F. McCarthys Foroblique Pan-Endoscope in the original case, measuring 33.5 x 14.5 x 6 cm. The wooden case has padded brackets and a velvet-lined compartment. The name of the instrument is engraved on a plate affixed to the lid, and the manufacturers name is printed inside the case. Many of the original pieces are missing from the set. The case contains: 1) wooden jar, containing a substance that may be beeswax, 2) metal tubing connector, 3) three metal disk gaskets, 4) eleven fiber gaskets, 5) endoscope probe with bulb handle.
