A small surgical kit in a wood case, measuring 41 x 16 x 7 cm. The brown case has a red velvet lining and brass hardware. The manufacturers nameplate is mounted on the inner front lip of the case. The set is missing three of the original instruments. The case contains: 1) ebony-handled bone saw, measuring 48.5 x 9.3 cm, 2) extra saw blade, 6.7 cm wide, 3) two ebony-handled amputation knives, 4) long-nosed bullet forceps, and 5) Chienes metal catheter, 24.5 cm in length. The instruments show some signs of deterioration, and the case is worn. The top of the case was relacquered in 1978.
