The purpose of this study was to determine the acceptance by physicians of a continuing medical education CME system integrated into an Electronic Health Record (EHR). Traditional approaches to CME have not shown improvement in patient healthcare outcomes. Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (HIBA) has implemented a system that embeds CME into the EHR providing learning opportunities that are integrated into the patient care process. This study explored the acceptability of the system to physicians when they were in the consulting room in the hospital.
