The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, and the electron transport chain is the (in my opinion) the powerhouse mechanism in the mitochondria! This study guide zooms into the molecular/cellular level to spend some time along the electron transport chain, and to think about the function of barrier/transport proteins (ion channels, transporters, carriers) in general.
