The Breast Cancer Decision Aid was tested in a convenience sample of 51, age, risk-appropriate women to provide a preliminary assessment of the impact of the Decision Aid on screening choices and decision conflict. This work was analyzed and presented in her thesis. Dr. Scariati also conducted semi-structured interviews with five clinical experts and five subject matter experts. These experts used the Decision Aid and provided critical reviews of the aid. The transcripts of these interviews were qualitatively analyzed in this capstone project. The results of the qualitative analysis will be used to improve the Decision Aid.
