Abstract
In the U.S., over half of adults are overweight or obese, and many suffer from preventable chronic diseases linked to poor diet and physical inactivity, with certain racial groups like Native Hawaiians disproportionately affected. To improve health outcomes, it is essential to promote culturally-sensitive education and interventions that emphasize the impact of diet on chronic disease risk within these communities. This research paper is about the dangerous levels of chronic disease that plague Native Hawaiians and strategies individualized to them that can help them overcome this issue.
