Health information technologies (HIT) such as electronic health records (EHRs), and computerized provider order entry (CPOE) systems. clinical decision support systems (CDSS), and integrated guidelines-based systems are key to improving the quality of healthcare. This capstone aimed to create a codebook that can be used to code articles to conduct a meta-analysis that would be aimed at reviewing the evidence available about the use of HIT/EHRs/CDSS/CPOE on patient and health outcomes.
