Abstract

Many educators struggle to translate teaching into scholarship that is a good fit for publication. Many well-meaning researchers may offer advice based on their experience with clinical research that may not apply to education research. This presentation will provide a 5-step approach to apply when considering turning a teaching project into a scholarly product. These steps, meant to be taken prior to embarking upon the scholarly project, will help the educator determine which teaching is well-suited to scholarship, and select the approach that is most likely to result in publication.
